Stéphane has had a remarkable journey in the healthcare system starting as a medical technologist. After several years working in laboratories, he developed a strong passion for healthcare technology during his time at Héma-Québec(formerly known as the Red Cross). This experience was the catalyst for his aspiration to merge his two interests, specifically technology and the clinical domain, to enhance the well-being of patients. Since then, he has held various positions, including Software Implementation Advisor, Director of Operations, and Executive Director within the private healthcare system.
In 2012, Stéphane joined Sogique as Head of Software Contract Management, where he gained extensive expertise in this field. Over the next decade, he played an integral part in the Ministry of Health and Social Services, occupying highly strategic functions in roles such as Director of License and Common Interest Asset Management, as well as Interim Deputy Director General for Licenses and Information Systems, a position he assumed during the height of the pandemic. During this period, Stéphane played a vital role in creating and implementing new ministry assets such as the "Je Contribue" and "Clic santé" platforms, as well as case and contact tracing systems, vaccination proof, and the vaccination passport. It is driven by this innate desire to support digital transformation in healthcare and social services that Stéphane decided to found Catalys Health Strategy with his partner Chantal Keough. When he is not fulfilling his role as CEO, Stéphane enjoys nature and has a passion for hunting and fishing, which he practices with his family.
